Clinical History
32 years old lady with suspected stress fractures. PET/CT for diagnosis.
Findings
There is an area of intense tracer concentration in the left distal tibia, with associated changes on the correlative CT images.
Other areas of mildly increased tracer concentration are noted in the left knee medially (distal femur and proximal tibia), left proximal fibula, right distal tibia and right talus adjacent to talo-navicular junction. There are also focal areas of low grade activity in the right knee (femur and tibia), right tibio-talar junction and left calcaneum.
Clinical Impression
There is stress fracture of left distal tibia. The other areas of increased tracer concentration are more likely related to stress induced injuries.
